Event Coordinator, Canadian Blood Services

As an Event Coordinator, I work at a dynamic, innovative, collaborative, diverse, and caring organization. I am responsible for the recruitment of blood and blood product donors to achieve targets within Toronto. I have developed positive relationships with donors, local communities, site contacts, and fellow staff and volunteers to plan and execute collection events. I've identified opportunities, plans, and executed donor recruitment and registration events to meet blood collection needs. I have also been able to maintain knowledge to promote all Canadian Blood Services product lines when asked. I work to coordinate clinic activities to support campaigns, events, and the coordination of social media activity. In this role, I also work with the planning team to review and develop the clinic schedule for each year, which includes the planning of over 1000 clinics. I have also had the opportunity to work on special projects during my time within this role, such as being the point of contact and trainer for all employees in my department during our transition from Google Drive and Skype to SharePoint and Microsoft teams.​
