Curated Resources:

In my line of work, there aren't many chronic illnesses I encounter, but in the blood industry, one that affects us a lot is HIV. The treatments and prevention for HIV have progressed so much over the years it is very interesting to see #chronicdisease #MHST601 (Infographic posted to my Twitter on 2021-03-08):

Government of Canada. (2020). People living with HIV in Canada: infographic. Retrieved from: https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/publications/diseases-conditions/hiv-canada.html

Take a look at this interesting article comparing the inequalities of women with and without HIV in Canada #chronicdisease #MHST601:

Shokoohi M, Bauer GR, Kaida A, Lacombe-Duncan A, Kazemi M, Gagnier B, de Pokomandy A, Loutfy M; CHIWOS Research Team. PLoS One. 2019 Mar 21;14(3):e0213901. doi: 10.1371/journal.pone.0213901

While looking through some resources on Chronic diseases, I came across the burden of chronic diseases in Ontario, which happened to include Diabetes- the focus of my Assignment 2.
